It is my big day right here right now. Birthday sounds familiar to me. But when I grow, I don't feel like celebrating anymore. Merely because I don't have the mood, and mainly because I don't have my 'gang'. Nevertheless, today is totally different.
We're having Dikir Barat practice tonight. I arrived slightly late on spot, noticing there're only a few of my classmates were at Jing Cher's Kingdom (JC's house, more approximately). And then as time passed by, more and more classmates arrived. We started practicing. During the break, I noticed some of my friends were in a room (with the door opened). I sat on the floor, finding my way out from boredom. All in a sudden, the lights went off and Wai Seng carried a birthday cake with a lighted candle on the top. I stood up because I felt to be unduly rude to be seated. They commenced a birthday song but it was quite funny when the candle went off under a spinning fan. And they lighted the candle up again, so I blew it after the song, way too fast. But then, they said we should record it haha. So again, the candle was lighted up, and the birthday song was sung once again and I blew it off. Some said he looked like my bf, oh no, he didn't, and mostly probably doesn't.
It's pure happiness, a surprise as Jing Cher told me they took RM 50 to the bakery and ended up buying no cake because it was not sufficient. I replied it's okay. I don't celebrate birthday with cakes honestly, not when I was kid.
I was asked to cut the cake into pieces but I wanted to make sure everybody had the chance to eat it. So... The cake ended up to be a terrible looking one. I don't know if everyone eats it, but hey, thanks guys. You all really warm my heart. You all took me by surprise too. Thanks.
We took A LOT OF pictures together, which make me speechless. A scene with the same background same pose same people can be taken for about 10+ pictures. But after all, these will definitely be the greatest memories in my graduation year. And when I grow really old. Happy White Valentine's
