Journey to begin
Monday, August 15, 2016

It has been almost a month since my last update. I guess I should stick to one post per month if I can or more posts per month hmm. Regardless of previous depressive post, this is a post of joy, at least for me! I went to Matriculation program and graduated on late April. After that, I got a four month long holiday for me before I commence my university adventure.  What do I do in this four month? Well, basically, I read, watch movies/dramas, do household chores and continue my online business.  Why don't I go to work? I admit that I am a little bit lazy, but yes I do have the heart and intention to go to work, my first part time job or whatever, just get my butt out of house and earn some pocket money before admission of uni. A friend of mine asked if I want to be Tadika's teacher, I am okay with the job but my mum said that the pay isn't high and the working hour is even longer than that of my Dad.  And later on I searched on Facebook for part time job in my hometown, it turned out that the vacancy was filled *clap* And my brother advised me not to take promoter job as I will be standing all day long from the morning until the night, with a few breaks in between. He said it was suffering. My teacher asked me if I want to be a part time Chinese teacher in my school, I thought about it. But having myself to go through the entire process of waking up to school early catapults me back to the old school day, not to mention it is quite a distance from my house to school. At the end, I waited up and did no job *yay* Okay, the point is, my Dad never wanted me to work anyway (despite him being sick and excused from work for almost one month now :( ) He insisted that if I were to work, work after graduated from my degree/master/PhD (a dream of mine), because I will be working after my study life till I can't work anymore, why bother to do it earlier? I will dread working as compared to me being so enthusiastic for work right now.
Back to the actual point of writing this post :P Actually, I would like to share the joy, I got the offer letter from my dream university - University Malaya, I will be pursuing the course of Chemical Engineering there.  Frankly speaking, I applied three out of three choices IPTA offered, a.k.a the UPU, UM, USM.  I got the offer letter from UTM, chemical engineering (CE) as well but I figured I shall go after UM.  Unfortunately I got a Pembuatan Engineering from USM, no way I'm going there, why on earth did I get something out of my options, that I have no idea.  Based on the QS ranking, yes, CE ranks high in USM, UTM followed by UM. I knew it, but yeah, if I was to get the offer in USM, the campus is in Nibong Tebal, not the main campus anyway, by this, it will undoubtedly limit my chance to meet more people/join more activities. UTM is always my second choice if I were not offered by UM.  Nevertheless, I got UM! There are actually plenty of reasons I opt for UM.
The campus is more centralized, the bonus is that it is situated in KL! Need not to worry about the transport problem that much owe to the hustle and bustle of KL. I'm tired of Penang, having to spend my Matriculation time there is enough, Penang is not that big anyway. Plus, my brother is pursuing his study at Penang island as well, so Nahhh. About the QS ranking, it fluctuates doesn't it? One time A uni rank top, the second year it slides down, isn't it? The thing is I am adamant about going to UM.
Right after the offer I went to government hospital nearby to have my medical checkup the next day and opened a BIMB account. Count me on if you talk about efficiency lolol. Now I am waiting for the Matriculation transkrip only to get it certified and most probably prepare some documents in case I need to apply for scholarship in UM.
Besides, I am typing this post using my brand new Asus Vivobook TP301, will write an update about it in near future! Hope everyone is doing fine!
